Gosh! This journey has been a long one. It started 5 years ago when I took a chance and closed the chapter of my life in Public Accounting. It never was right for me. I loved the outdoors, and I loved sunlight. I loved seeing people happy and I loved seeing the world. Though trained in both the technical fields of Engineering and Accounting, I found I was miserable and woke up dreading each day of work. Life set things in motion and I took a chance; leaving my old world of Toronto to join Edward (my husband) in Boston, not knowing what my future had in store.

Then I started to take more chances. I asked some friends of my husband's if they'd like some engagement photos. That led to another chance of asking the parents of a young vivacious boy in the coffee shop if I could photograph him. This in turn led me to take a chance and respond to a Craigslist posting of a now dear client & friend. A bunch of smaller and larger chances taken since has landed me where I am today.

I tell people that light is light and posing is posing. You want to understand each person's unique personality and traits and photograph them in the most positive light. Be that for weddings, family portraits, maternity, newborn, corporate headshots or Bat/Bar Mitzvahs; no two people are alike and no two events are the same. I have honed my craft so that I can deliver a solid product with both natural light and with artificial light. Once you are in my hands, you no longer have to worry.

I firmly believe that what I photograph should be shared. This translates into every package having digital files included. I do not believe in high pressure sales tactics, nor sales after you have your session. You pay one price and walk away with high resolution, unwatermarked images as keepsakes of your time with me. My only wish is that the files don't stay on your computer, but are immediately shared with family & friends through prints, social media, and an online gallery that I provide.

We absolutely love coffee and you'll often find us on our morning coffee dates around Somerville. The weekday $20 supplement is to make up for our missed morning date if a session takes place before 10am. We're a silly couple that just won't grow up. We love travel, architecture, fashion (though I'll be dressed in yoga gear for our high energy portrait sessions!) and food (I started my photography journey with a food blog!). Our latest splurge is to find design-centric hotels around the world to enjoy. Edward is still an engineer by day. He assists me on my weddings and I'm so thankful to have such a supportive husband. If you see a guy struggling with lighting and luggage, that's him!

If my style speaks to you, please do reach out. I book my portrait sessions up to 1.5 months in advance to allow for life's unexpected changes. Newborn sessions are booked up to 3 months in advance. Weddings are booked up to 2 years in advance. If I am the right photographer for you, please use my contact form to get things started.
