all of my packages come with digital files and print releases. i believe that these images were created for you so you should do with them as you please. make an album, gift your parents some prints, and make some wall art that's super dramatic on your walls. final images are provided in high-resolution JPEG format and without watermarks. your images are selected from the best expressions, most flattering angles and throughout the moments of your day.
I do not provide raw images that are unedited because i take pride in curating your story and processing your images after taking the photo with a final image in mind. i do not provide an unfinished product.

I live and work in my tiny apartment in davis square, somerville (just outside boston), but i am available and willing to travel. i've photographed weddings in california, the netherlands, dominican republic, mexico and canada. i also find myself all over new england for weddings, especially in maine, new hampshire and rhode island. we are a husband and wife team, and my husband acts as my second photographer during key moments such as the first look, ceremony and during candids at portrait time if I don't need his help with lighting. 100% of the images you see on my website are photographed by either myself or my husband. Having him by my side makes my job so much easier, so he never leaves my side. he grabs things out of the frame when they are in the background messing up your photos, handles my off-camera lighting for night and reception photos, and just is a sounding board for new and creative ideas i might have. if you need a second photographer, reach out and i usually can help you adjust your schedule so you can save that money for another aspect of your big day, or just save for another time.

i have a $1 million liability policy. i backup my images as soon as i get home onto my computer. i am also running backblaze constantly to back up my image files to the cloud. i do a secondary copy offsite to ensure you have physical redundancy of your wedding images. all of my cameras are dual slot cameras, meaning that i shoot files onto two cards so even if there is a card corruption, i have a backup card with your images.

don't worry. I get it. Everyone thinks they're super awkward in front of the camera, but my style of photography isn't boring and posed where you're waiting for the photo to be taken. I interact constantly with you guys and talk through it, always coaching you if you need and adjusting things so you look your best. All you have to do is relax, and trust me. read the reviews from my past clients and you know I'll take care of you.

your first look teasers will be uploaded onto social media within 48 hours of your wedding day. within 14 days, a gallery of 40 images will be uploaded to a password-protected gallery for you online so you can share with family and friends. when your images are done in about 8-10 weeks, your entire gallery will be uploaded and stay online for 4 years. you can email this gallery link to family + friends and they can order prints and download directly from this gallery. makes it easy so you don't have to order prints for everyone individually.

the overall style of how i would approach your wedding day is very documentary in nature. i do not like to interfere unless you want my opinion or help. it's your day and it is unique. my job is to capture those crazy moments; the unexpected tears, the funny reactions, the energetic dancing. the only time i will direct is during portrait time. during this time i will refine poses and choose locations to ensure you have the best lighting and your venue is truly showcased.
family photos are very important to me. before your wedding i will request a photo list that i highly recommend you talk to your parents about. i will request a photo helper from both your families to gather the necessary family members and friends so this segment of the portraits will go as smoothly and quickly as possible.
my editing style is very natural, but an enhanced version of what you would see in real life. i don't believe in altering skin tones, or changing the colour of your bouquet you painstakingly curated. please look through my gallery to see samples of my work and make sure this is the style you want for your wedding day.

I want to show what I can do for every person. Help me in my goal for equal representation. I do not cherry pick what goes on my social media platforms. I show everyone. YOUR MODEL RELEASE HELPS ME ACHIEVE THAT. I charge a nominal flat fee which amounts to less than $0.75 per image if I cannot share your images. This is more symbolic than anything else. I understand that some people are private, and I don't want to penalize them exorbitantly.

Honestly, Bella Wang is a UNICORN!! The photos are just so creative and beautiful! Some of our favourite photos are of an ordinary background but Bella just frames it into something magical. We loved how she played with light and shade and just made us look so extra amazing (like a Wong Kar Wai movie, and we are not photogenic!). I also appreciated that she helps ‘edit’ our poses (reminding us to stand a little straighter, roll our shoulders back, chins up, etc). I can really see a difference in the output of the photos when I compare this to our wedding photos overseas and that really matters when you spend so much energy and your wedding budget that something little like this really enhances how the photos look. In saying that, the candid photos are also really beautiful too! On top of that, we were just so incredibly lucky that Bella and Ed are also the nicest people to work with, they are flexible and spontaneous (our wedding was in the winter, we wanted ‘urban’ photos in Chinatown which is usually crowded and chaotic but you can’t tell by looking at the photos!!). They were super patient as we took welcome photos with all our 200+ guests! Bella is also super prompt with her delivery dates and very responsive to emails. This was our second wedding with much less formalities (no ceremony, no wedding party) since we already had our first wedding overseas but the photos just gave our second wedding so much of its own unique character. We were going for a 1920s Shanghai vibe with a modern twist and she just really nailed the brief! Bella is one of a kind photographer and we honestly can’t say enough about how amazing she is! We’re so happy with our photos!!

Bella photographed both our engagement and wedding. We would recommend her for any type of project without hesitation. Her photos are incredible - she has a natural talent for finding unique angles and really knows how to use light to create the right atmosphere for a given photo.
