I'm bella
I'm 1/2 of a team that's been together for longer than we've been apart. Our work speaks for itself, and we're honored to have been featured in respected brands such as Boston Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, and Brides. With over 10 years in the industry and 400+ happy clients, we've honed our craft to anticipate moments before they happen and create images that are vibrant, fun, and sexy, feeding off your natural energy.
But what sets us apart is our commitment to creating an experience that is authentically you. Whether your wedding is a large event, an elopement, or an intimate affair, we'll work with you to understand your vision and create images that are timeless, preserving the color, depth, and style while adding a modern twist. My why is simple: your love story deserves to be told with honesty. Every photo I take is a reflection of how you felt on your special day, capturing not just the details but also the emotions. When I'm there, I'm here for you, making sure that everything runs smoothly so that you can relax and enjoy every moment.
I believe that investing in high-quality gear, backup equipment, and that ongoing education and training is essential to deliver the best possible results. But what sets me apart is my ability to capture both the fleeting interactions and the marquee moments, with the same level of care and attention to detail.
Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I understand the weight of that responsibility. That's why I put my heart and soul into every session, ensuring that you can relive the memories for years to come.
Back when I was researching my own wedding photographer, I wanted someone to capture the day to the fullest and in the most beautiful way. I searched for someone that was upfront with pricing and provided digital files as a keepsake. This lead to my decision to implement the same all-inclusive package when I started my photography business.
Part of my process of hiring someone included wanting to see consistency. My wedding photographer kept his brides up to date with new wedding sets showcasing real brides on real wedding days. Every week I saw new work, which in turn showed me his dedication to each one of his brides, no matter her budget. This was extremely important to me and helped me build trust.
When designing my business I knew I wanted to be as forthcoming as well. I want to show it all. I want to show how I capture each unique couple. I want to show all weddings so that future couples could see themselves choosing to spend their special day with me. I want to show every type of face, every body shape and ever soul that walks in front of my lens. I do not cherry pick what goes on my social media platforms.
The model release grants me usage of your images that I feel represent my brand the best without restrictions (I do not post nude photos unless specifically granted permission). So if you are the type of person that doesn't like a scrunched up nose when smiling, or squinted eyes when you're belly laughing, then I may not be the photographer for you. I want true emotions and expressions, in whatever form that may be. 'Perfection' as defined by a magazine is overrated.
My constantly updating portfolio will show other couples how I can make every person beautiful, natural and every wedding stunning. Your model release helps me achieve that. I charge a nominal fee if I cannot share your images (please ask for a quote). This is more symbolic than anything else. I understand that some people are private, and I don't want to penalize them. I am only telling you my "why".
I hope this helps shed some light on why I feel so strongly about the subject of a model release and my all-inclusive structure. As an artist, it's not about me, but what I bring out in others. Every couple deserves to be celebrated and treated equally. Help me show love in all its forms.

I don't believe you need to just love light and airy, or just dark and moody. I believe you should adapt and embrace change and differences. It's what sets me apart: I can see the potential by being familiar with my equipment and through training my eye.

Traveling is what I love doing anytime I'm not working. I love to open my eyes to new cultures, new architecture, new food and new appreciations.

Ever since I was a little girl, these directors have been my heroes. I am obsessed with movies that go bang and do it beautifully with a rhythm I find both exciting and calming.

pastTime
My mornings 7-9:30am (if I'm not doing a sunrise shoot) are blocked off for coffee dates with my favourite human.

If I had to choose a food to eat for the rest of my life, it just might be sushi. Tsukiji market at night was a magical experience.

human
My human. My husband. My best friend. And assistant! You'll see him if you've booked a wedding. He's super quiet and basically only chats to me. He makes me laugh like no other.

My favourite part of my job is when my clients let down their guards because I gave them space to be themselves on their special day.

My ideal couples are all about family and friends. They know that the wedding day is just a few hours, but the photos will last forever. Rain or shine, they're excited about the day and ready for anything. They're playful, crazy in love, and love to laugh and joke around. They appreciate good food, fashion, design but are also laid back when things don't go to plan. They avoid drama. They cherish experiences and memories over material possessions. They prefer quiet places and don't like being the center of attention. They value photography beyond measure. Overall, they just want to have a stress-free, fun wedding day with their loved ones.

I can really see a difference in the output of the photos when I compare this to our wedding photos overseas and that really matters when you spend so much energy and your wedding budget that something little like this really enhances how the photos look. In saying that, the candid photos are also really beautiful too! On top of that, we were just so incredibly lucky that Bella and Ed are also the nicest people to work with, they are flexible and spontaneous (our wedding was in the winter, we wanted ‘urban’ photos in Chinatown which is usually crowded and chaotic but you can’t tell by looking at the photos!!). They were super patient as we took welcome photos with all our 200+ guests! Bella is also super prompt with her delivery dates and very responsive to emails. This was our second wedding with much less formalities (no ceremony, no wedding party) since we already had our first wedding overseas but the photos just gave our second wedding so much of its own unique character. We were going for a 1920s Shanghai vibe with a modern twist and she just really nailed the brief! Bella is one of a kind photographer and we honestly can’t say enough about how amazing she is! We’re so happy with our photos!!
